Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell, née Stevenson (29 September 1810 – 12 November 1865), often referred to simply as Mrs Gaskell, was a British novelist and short story writer during the Victorian era. Her novels offer a detailed portrait of the lives of many strata of society, including the very poor, and are of interest to social historians as well as lovers of literature.[1] Gaskell was also the first to write a biography of Charlotte Bronte, The Life of Charlotte Bronte, which was published in 1857. Gaskell was born Elizabeth Cleghorn Stevenson on 29 September 1810 at 93 Cheyne Walk, Chelsea. She was the youngest of eight children; only she and her brother John survived infancy. [mehr]

Epes Sargent (1813–1880) was an American editor, poet and playwright. Epes Sargent was the son of Epes Sargent (1784–1853) and Hannah Dane Coffin (1787–1819), and was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on September 27, 1813, where his father was a ship master.[1] In 1818 the family moved to Roxbury, Massachusetts. From 1823 to 1829 he attended the Boston Latin School, but his education was put on hold while he traveled for six months to Saint Petersburg, Russia with his father. Upon his return he helped start the school's first literary journal, where he wrote about his travels to Russia. He then attended Harvard University where he contributed to the Harvard Collegian, a college literary journal which was started by his older brother, John Osborn Sargent (1811–1891), who became a successful politician and journalist. Henry Gally Knight, F.R.S. (2 December 1786 – 9 February 1846) was a British M.P., traveller and writer. He was the only son of Henry Gally (afterwards Gally Knight), barrister, of Langold. and was educated at Eton and Trinity Hall, Cambridge.[1] He succeeded in 1808 to estates at Firbeck and Langold Park which his father had inherited in 1804 from his brother John Gally Knight. He was appointed High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire for 1814–15. He was the author of several Oriental tales, Ilderim, a Syrian Tale (1816), Phrosyne, a Grecian Tale, and Alashtar, an Arabian Tale (1817). He was also an authority on architecture, and wrote various works on the subject, including The Ecclesiastical Architecture of Italy, and The Normans in Sicily, which brought him more reputation than his fictions. This is about two twin girls name Amy and Ashley Peek. They were turned into vampires becaue they are the only one who can save both the human wolrd and Vampire world. Cleo their best friend is a vampire but they don't know that. Then Amy over hears Cleo on the phone with somebody and cleo said"I'll do it" Amy was confused and then the she went into the bath room and then Cleo was there and she was crying and then the next thing Amy found herself in the hostpail with two cuts on her neck and a major headache. She didn't know what happened. Then later in the story Amy started to get weak and Ashley was turned into a vampire by Cleo and Ashley turned her sister Amy and then they meet a a gaurdian Danna Snow that is Cleo's gaurdian and creater. But they have a long jounry ahead of them. Now that Ashley and Amy are vampires they are stronger then before. But Amy is weak they don't know what's worng with her. Then much later in the stroy Amy goes to Katy and Comman and they said that Amy was taken from them and her real name is Milliarde or (Milly for short) but Amy was canfused then ever. Is she good or is she bad? Amy and Ashley are the humans and vampires only chance to servive from Katy's and Comman's plans. But later on in the book Amy and Ashley find out they have a older brother John Peek that is still human. So will Amy's and Ashley's friends be able to save all of humans and vampires? William Taylor Adams (July 30, 1822 – March 27, 1897), pseudonym Oliver Optic, was a noted academic, author, and a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Adams became a teacher in the Lower Road School in Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1843,[7] he resigned from his position as master of the school in 1846 in order to assist his father and brother in the management of their new hotel in Boston, their Adams House hotel.[8] Adams decided that he preferred teaching so in 1848 he returned to teaching this time at the Boylston School in Boston,[8] in 1860 Adams was promoted to the position of master of the Boylston School.[8] When the Bowditch School was founded Adams transferred to that school as its master, a position he held until he resigned from teaching in 1865.[8] This experience naturally brought him closely into contact with boys, and he learned much of what interested them, which had a good deal to do with his eventual success as an author. Extensive travel abroad and a deep knowledge of boats, farming, and practical mechanics were other factors that gave his works reality. [mehr]
