He was an international superstar. He spoke 9 languages fluently, had a PH.D in philosophy, an MS in science, and was a graduate of M.I.T. He's taught neuroscience, held forums at several universities, wrote two books on oneirology, lucid dreams, astral projection and clairvoyant travel. He was a success on his way to greatness. He was being considered for the Nobel Prize in science, and his Dark Water Tread novel series was in the works for motion picture adaptation.
But three weeks short of a meeting with Universal Studios, his life took a bizarre turn for the worst. At 11:30 pm, David Levine closed his eyes and fell asleep. When he opened his eyes again, it was 3:18 am. Every light in the house was on. He woke up to find himself covered in blood. He panicked and ran through the house screaming in horror upon finding the butchered bodies of his entire family. As the authorities handcuffed and took him away, he kept whispering, "Dysdaimon", over and over.
