And more importantly: Nothing is coherent. Charlie ist ein extrem unzuverlässiger Erzähler und offenbart in seinem fragmentierten Gedankenstrom eine zutiefst verstörende Persönlichkeit. Handlungstechnisch stellt die Geschichte lediglich den Vormittag nach einer wilden, durchzechten Nacht dar und verzichtet dabhei auf packende Ereignisse zugunsten der Sprache und den philosophisch angehauchten Metaphern, welche der scheinbar intellektuelle Protagonist teils unbeabsichtigt heraufbeschwört.
