I have 3 children & I love being able to be at home with them! The eldest of my 3 is my son Keanu & he is one of the bravest little boys I have had the pleasure of having in my life. The day after my son turned 5 he was airlifted to a children's hospital & diagnosed with a rare condition, Langerhan Cell Histiocytosis or LCH. IT is so rare they don't know where it comes from, why it happens, if it will occur again, or if it will even occur at all from one child to the next. The condition causes growths to form for no apparent reason & the one that formed in my son attached itself to the bone around his left eye & cut off all vision & mobility. We were in the hospital for 5 days when a Hematology Oncologist came in & gave me his diagnosis (LCH). Then she gave me some news that scared me more than I had ever dreamed anything could... She told me that the tumor was growing upward on the inside of his skull toward his brain. When I digested that she continued to tell me that he would be scheduled for surgery the following week to insert a port into his chest & then begin chemo therapy & steroids. I was terrified! But when he went through the surgery & did his treatment month after month I realized just how strong & brave my son is! I am happy to say that he is now tumor free & has 20/20 vision back! My youngest is just a baby but unfortunately he didn't have the easiest start. He was in the NICU for his first day but he has done just fine since thank the Lord! And as for my daughter, that girl is completely fearless!!! And perfect :) My children inspire me so much everyday, as does my husband the soldier! He has done a year hardship tour, 2 one year deployments, and is now being medically retired after almost 10 years serving this country! So I decided to suck up my fears & put myself out there. I really hope everyone loves my work. And I know there are plenty of critics, but for those who will fall into it as I did; THANKYOU y'all are a big part of the reason I write!
