The Commonwealth of Australia is a sovereign state in Oceania, whose form of government is federal parliamentary constitutional monarchy .

Sport, backed by a warm climate that favors outdoor activities, plays an important role in Australian culture. 23.5% of Australians over the age of 15 regularly participate in organized sports activities.
