Beschreibung:
This group is dedicated to anyone who has experienced a hardship or illness of any type. It is a place where we can share, discuss, and write about our experiences. I know a teacher who offers each of her students either a hug, a high five, or a handshake at the end of every day. It is her way of letting them know they are important to her and she cares about them.
So … whether you only need a... Mehr anzeigen

Hello everyone...I would love to get to know all of you and hear your stories. Let's all say hello!
I'll start off...

I'm Heather. I was going to be a marine biologist. That was all I ever wanted. I spent my entire early years preparing for the rest of my well planned-out life. Then, at 20, I was told I had melanoma. I needed to quit my job as a lifeguard at the local pool and was told without any further discussion that I... mehr anzeigen

My mother succumbed to cancer of the spine when I was 21. She was my rock and I have missed her ever since.

I lost my only brother to a brain tumor when he was just 39. I have never got over that. It was the worst thing in my life to have ever happened and I miss him terribly.

My beloved grandfather died of throat cancer and I currently have two friends who are going through cancer as we speak. One is bone cancer the other is... mehr anzeigen

literally only recently worked out that I'm bi. I'm 14. I've had this really weird feeling in the pit of my stomach since I worked it out. I haven't told anybody yet. But I worked out something else at the same time. I also worked out that I love my best friend (who's a girl like me) although over all I like boys more. But this feeling won't go away I'm thinking that it might go away if I tell somebody. So I think I'm going... mehr anzeigen

I think talking to a good friend is the best place to start. Maybe a school counselor, too ... someone who can help you if you want to talk and you need an adult (rather than a friend). I also think you are lucky to have been able to work this out at a younger age. I went to... mehr anzeigen

I am the type of person that always looks for the silver lining in a bad situation ... it often helps ease the pain of tough times. Yesterday my uncle passed away. Today I received a call from a cousin in Roanoke, VA to see if he and his family could stay with us for a few days. Now, I haven't seen my cousin or his wife in many years and it has been even longer since I've seen their son. They asked to stay with us because... mehr anzeigen

I really hope this is actually true. It would be so amazing for the cure to be as simple as a fruit tree
Really hope it's not a scam or something
Not saying you would scam anybody, but whoever initially put the info out there :P

All of us have cancer cells - it is our immune system that keeps them under control. Anything that give strength to that is good... mehr anzeigen

Went to the liver specialist in Madison. Its the Capital of our state to see a very good transplant doctor at the University Hospital. Hubby's liver has improved. And so far he is not a candidate for a transplant. Thats great news. Ther are some issues that are needed to be addressed but just that we do not have to be on a list for a liver or his daughter does not have to donate part of her's is a good thing.
