Just wondering if two opponents could arrange mutual times so that they can play a game within that time frame. It would be interesting to watch, if we kept up with their moves. Difficult for brits v the yanks though.

Is there a possibility of doing video conferencing and recording of the tournament? You can use teamviewer software application for the first, though no idea for the second.

I've always had a fondness for unique chess sets, but have always been awful at chess. (Seriously. My wife beat me in the same game I taught her how to play.)
I keep it right next to me on my desk. I've had it for years and there's not a scratch on it. Never seem to win on it though! Strange that!

please tell me i'm not the only one who had one. ha! this was before video games were popular and kids actually played outside with chalk, jax and jump rope.
dammit! i feel old again.
My older sister had one of those. She also had a pogo ball. That was the age of novelty outdoor activity toys.
I had one of those when I was a kid (and a pogo ball...) and the best part was that it counted how many times it went around so you could have goals! It hurt like heck when the big round part hit you in the ankle though.
My favourite outside childhood toys were:

i liked to play outside when i was little, but i also enjoyed those inside games, like Lite Brite.
my neighbors have a pogo-ball for their daughter right now! i have no idea where they found it though... do they still make them???
I don't know if they make any of these any more. If they do, I'm sure they come with a ten-page, illustrated booklet describing all the grizzly ways you'll die if you don't wear a helmet or weigh more than 40 lbs. It's no wonder kids don't play outside any more.
i hurt myself a couple times. like rebecca said. if that ball hit you, OOOF! the worst. i also played with my friends. they would jump next to me. but if they missed and the ball hit, we'd both fall on each other. hahaha!
