I was thinking of migrating to a place outside of bookrix with a better set-up. We could still post our games here and such but the actual roleplaying would be done offsite. Either that or start a social book. (do we still have those?) and roleplay from there. :)

Sigh. So I'm fixing it now by saying that Chase's "Special Ability" is being able to heal others.

IC(Kala):

Ick. Why am I wet?
You're on wet ground dumbass. Wet. Ground.
Kala peeled back her eyelids and groaned. A marsh. How fun... She was laying on a spongey little oval of damp grass and reeds that was not completely submerged in water, niether of which made very comfortable unconscious material. So she sat up. I'm not alone.
There were five other damp ovals; four other people and supplies. It looked to be a large over-stuffed bagpack, an even larger black case, and a first aid kit.
We have supplies. Whoever or whatever put us here is preparing for something, and that's never a good sign.

Someone on one of the other ovals stirred and drew Kala's eye; a young boy, maybe 15 years old, with a cloud of dirt-matted salt-coloured hair and a slim frame. "Cian!" Kala's face broke into a grin as she watched him set himself up and take a sluggish look around. "It's good to see someone so familier in such an unfamilier place!"
"Screw you too Kala," Cian snapped, shooting her an icy look. "Where are we?"
"A marsh."
"I knew that." He makes an exasperated noise and probably would've said more, except that the other three began to wake. Wow. Am I really the only girl?
The other three were guys, all looking to be younger than her, two of which were blonde and blue-eyed and muscular and could easily have passed as brothers had it not been for the major diffrences in their faces. The third was the oddball, with his really dark hair and pale skin, not to mention the dramatic features made complete by two pale blue eyes.
They all more or less just stared at each other for a few minutes while they tried to absorb exactly what was going on, and it seemed that no one wanted to break the silence. It soon became a contest, and eventually the blonde boy with the sharper features lost. "Who are you?"
"Kala." She replied, not sure why she felt inclined to trust these people. "I'm Kala, and that Cian. Who the hell are you?"
"I'm Eshaa!" He beamed and threw his arms up as if expecting to be applauded and not seeming to notice when none came. He gestured towards the dark-haired boy. "That's Eri."
Eri stared meekly at her and waved.
"So who are you?" Cian turned to the blonde boy with the softer features. "Chase." He blinked just before clearing his throat. "Uh...where are we?"
"A marsh." How many times am I going to have to answer this question...?
"Well duh." Cian flipped her off, a gesture Kala went out of her way to ignore. "But why are we here?"
"I dunno."
"What's this?" Eri had wandered over to the bag and was now holding up a sheet of paper he'd picked up off the bag. Kala rolled up her jeans and made her way through the water to peer over his shoulder. "It's a note." She frowned. "Listen to this:

Dear characters,

You five have been chosen as my team to fight two other teams to the death. No this does not mean you will die die, it just means that you're not in the game anymore. But when you "die" you still adopt all the properties of "dead", except instead of leaving you simply freeze in your body. Unpleasant, right? Then don't die!! (That means no suicide attempts. Cian, I'm looking at you.) So..I know I explained that pretty badly, but I guess you'll figure the rest out as you go. You have supplies like food, an empty flask and a water filter in your bag but be warned: once you run out of food you're stuck living on wildlife. So ration your food supply!(I'm looking at you now, Kala.) There are your usual weapons in the black case and you have a first aid kit.
Recap: You're my team. You work together to survive and you kill the two other teams to win. You have your food and your weapons and whatnot and will not be getting any help from me if something goes wrong and blah blah blah.
