Our first review revolves around a thrilling manga that left a huge impact on me the first time I read it. Tail Star in a way starts out as your typical good against evil storyboard with two princesses, one of dark and the other of light ruling over a world as pure and blue as “Earth”.

When the dark princess suddenly becomes envious of the princess of light war breaks out between the two countries of good and evil and to say the least the princess of light is eradicated, thus allowing the princess of darkness to take over the entire world. (I know every evil villains dream.)
However, there is a catch. The princess of light will be reborn again and this soon becomes the princess of darkness worst fear. To solve the problem she has every newborn born into the world checked for any essence of the princess of light’s soul, but there is one small island that still stands against the darkness even after the princesses of light’s death and refuses for their newborns to be examined to see if they are the reincarnated princess. Thus, enraging the princess of darkness and causing her to destroy the island into nothing but dust.
Our story then starts with the two main characters Sangai and Mayu who are some of the few refuges to escape from the destroyed island. It doesn’t take us long to figure out Mayu is the reincarnated princess of light and her best friend Sangai is your typical manga hero who swears to protect Mayu as they set out on their journey to defeat the princess of darkness.

Oh, did I also forget to mention the super bad guys called shooting stars, human like creatures with large needle covered tails coming out of the back of their heads, who are constantly trying to kill our main characters.

Well I won’t ruin too much for you, but be warned this manga is packed full with awesome fighting scenes, a ton of blood, oh and a chopped off foot here and there. Really not for the faint of heart, but nothing worse than Naruto fighting scenes in comparison.
The animation on the other hand is light hearted and chubby and will surely having you screaming MOE like a fan girl page after page. *^0^*

I have so far been unable to find a English version of this manga to buy, but no worries you can now read the English scans free online at http://mangafox.me/manga/tail_star/ up to chapter 9.
All in all this manga defiantly deserves a four out of five and maybe higher if it continues to impress me. >^<</b>

awesome. I guarantee you will laugh, cry, and laugh some more XD
